COMING OUT OF THE FEID

     The day before your scheduled pick up my team will message you and give you a two (2) to four (4) hours timeframe for pickup. We ask that you break as much down as possible to be ready for pickup. We understand that 2 - 4 hours is a long time especially if the weather is crappy. If you decide to leave your tent up for shelter along with a heater that is fine but be prepared to quickly tear the tent down once the boat shows up. everything else should be ready to go. Once Hook shows up with the boat it is your responsibility to finish breaking everything down and load it on the boat. Please make sure you have everything before you leave the field to include all of your trash.

DROP CAMP RENTAL RETURN:

     If you rented the drop camp from DHO Rentals it will be left with us at the boat launch once you unload it from the boat. My team will let you know where to put it when unloading.

PREPARING YOUR CARIBOU FOR SHIPMENT:

     As stated above you will have time to burn prior to coming out of the field. Now is the best time to debone your animal, and cape the skull if not already done. If you debone in the field please throw all bones and anything you are not bringing back with you into the river so it will wash down river and get eaten. If you decide not to debone in the at camp and you want to wait until you get to the boat launch that is fine. Once you are back at the boat launch you will have an opportunity to purchase all your shipping materials from us for $40 Cash per caribou. The $40 covers the Wax box's, bubble wrap, card board, saran wrap, and tape needed to prep your caribou for shipping. Note: It is your responsibility to take care of your animal (caping, splitting the skull, deboning, packing etc.). You will be given time to take care of your animal but do not drag your feet we do need to get you back to Prudhoe Bay in time to get you to Alaska Air Cargo. 

     If you do not want to purchase the material from us you can purchase them from Alaska Air Cargo when you get there (Warning typically all they have is the wax box's for meat, no other materials). Also please note you can not debone your Caribou in Prudhoe Bay. 

ARRIVING BACK IN PRUDHOE BAY:

     Once we get you back into Prudhoe Bay, Alaska Air Cargo will be your first stop for shipping. My team and the Alaska Air Cargo Team will help you get everything weighed and set up in the system to ship. We have a known shipper number that we will provide them at the counter. Alaska Air Cargo will not ship to your door they will ship to the closest cargo Airport to you, which is normally your bigger airports. I strongly recommend you set your shipping date for either the day you leave Prudhoe or the date you arrive home. That way it has a little bit of time to sit in the freezer at Alaska Air Cargo and also you know you are home when it arrives. After all is complete at Alaska Air Cargo we will take you back to Brooks Camp. This will complete your trip with us, Please when unloading everything from the truck ensure you have everything. Once we leave Prudhoe Bay to go back to the boat launch we will not be returning.
